Happy New Year Everybody!
John Dennison Fine Art has just returned from the 2009 Vero Beach Museum of Art Antiques Show and Sale. The show began on Thursday evening, January 8th with the exclusive Preview Party. The Preview Party is always a grand affair, with guests enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and socializing while they stroll through the aisles lined with fine crafted antiques. Our booth attracted extreme interest but unfortunately had no sales on preview night.

Friday was a different story. We were glad to see attendance come up by at least 30% from last year. Firstly, we sold a nice Italian scene of Lake Como.
We sold a nice Dutch painting by Antonie Waldorp.
That was followed by another nice little Italian scene of Venice with Mt. Vesuvius in the distance.
On Saturday, an appraiser for a museum in Chicago acquired a beautiful John Johansen of the Hudson River looking across toward Manhattan, reminiscient of a Hayley Lever.
On Sunday, brisk crowds expressed serious interest in a number of our paintings. Our best sale was a pair of Hudson River landscapes by Henry Boese.
John and Michael were unable to watch the early Sunday NFL game, but were seen high-fiving each other in the booth after learning that their favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles are headed to the NFC Championship game after defeating the defending Superbowl Champions, the New York Giants.
Thanks for reading and check back soon as we are heading down to the Original Miami Beach Antiques Show on Monday!
